Diverse Suppliers Encouraged to Register
Does your business meet either of the following criteria:
51% or greater ownership by a U.S. citizen (and Puerto Rico) or Permanent Resident who is diverse*
(Please review the Diverse Classifications below); OR
Business classified as a small business according to SBA’s definition?
(Please review the SBA Small Business Classifications below);
You may wish to review the definition for these categories in the Federal Acquisition Regulations 19.7 or 52.219-8 (www.sba.gov/far). If you have difficulty ascertaining your size status, please refer to SBA’s website at www.sba.gov/size-standards-tool or contact your local SBA office.
Employee number is required because in accordance with FAR19.701 a small business for a subcontractor under $10,000 is one with less than 500 employees. For subcontracts over $10,000, the size is determined by the NAICS code in the procurement.
Listed below are some widely used designations of diversity that can be certified. Whenever possible, please provide certification; if your business is not certified, please still answer in the way you would like to represent your business.
